General Tips on HORIZON
HORIZON has been optimized for monitors set to 800 by 600 pixels or greater.
HORIZON will fill about ¾ of your screen if your monitor is
set to 1024 by 768 pixels. Use the Back buttons in HORIZON to navigate,
rather than Back on your browser. If you get stuck, click on Need
Help?, which is on many of the pages, for quick help.
Call 800-268-7070 or email us at support@discoverhorizon.com for
help.
When you are done, logout each time for security reasons.

1.11. Click Save and Back and the inspection type
and fee will be added.
1.12. You can add several different fees for the same inspection
type in this set up area.
1.13. If you do more than one type of an inspection at one job,
you can enter all of these on the invoice. HORIZON will total
the inspection fees for you.
1.14. Each inspection type and its fee will be detailed on the invoice, along
with the total amount.
2. Setting up Taxes
2.1. What if you have taxes to add to your inspection fees?
2.2. From the Invoice line items screen (Figure 2), click Set
Tax Rules For Invoice.
2.3. We enter one or two taxes. (Figure 4)
2.4. If there are no taxes in your area, just leave the Tax Rates
as 0.
2.5. If there is a tax, enter the name and the percent as a number
in the Tax 1 fields.
2.6. If there is a second tax, enter it in the Tax 2 fields.
2.7. Don’t use a percent sign (%), HORIZON knows it is
a percent.

2.8. Click Save and Back and we are done!
2.9. Now all of our invoices will automatically calculate and
display the right tax and calculate and display the total fee
for the client.
2.10. If you do more than one type of an inspection at one job, you can enter
all of these. HORIZON will total the inspection fees, calculate the taxes, and
provide a grand total.
2.11 These will be detailed and totaled on your invoice.

invoice.

the tax and calculate the total fee.
3.8. Once selected, you can edit any inspection type or the fee
by clicking on the edit button. (Figure 5)
3.9. You can also delete the item by clicking the delete button.
(Figure 5)
3.10. The last item in the drop down list is always *BLANK

is useful for those one-of-a-kind inspections or for unusual
fees you don’t
want to add to the list.
Congratulations! You know how to set up and edit your Invoices.
