HORIZON - Signing up and getting free credits

Welcome to HORIZON! We hope you are as excited as we are with this revolutionary product. In this session our goal is to get you up and running quickly so you can try HORIZON with no risk and no obligation.

We will show you how to log in, and then how to log out. The first step is to go to the web site – www.discoverhorizon.com. HORIZON lives on the web, not on your computer. You can get there from any computer with Internet access. Your computer screen should look like Figure 1.

1. Your free trial
1.1. Click on free trial! at the top of the screen. (This is something you only do once. After this, you will login directly.) This will take you to a screen that looks like Figure 2.

1.2. Fill in your company information as you want it to appear in your reports.
1.3. At the bottom of the screen, click Next. This takes you to a screen that looks like Figure 3.
1.4. Enter your email address as your Username.
1.5. Select a password from 4 to 10 characters, using letters and numbers only.
(You may want to write your password in your address book. If you lose or forget your password, just click Lost password? on the login page, or call us at 800-268-7070.)
1.6. Enter your first and last name as you want it to appear in your reports.

1.7. At the bottom of the screen, click Next.
1.8. This takes you to your home screen titled My Schedule. (Figure 4)
1.9. You are now inside the working HORIZON site.
1.10. You can look around in here, but cannot write a report because you have no credits.
1.11. Each credit allows you to write one report.
1.12. You can get 3 FREE credits by clicking on the link CLICK HERE TO GET YOUR 3 FREE CREDITS.

1.13. The next screen you will see is the license agreement (Figure 5), which you should read.
1.14. If you do not agree to the terms, click I Do Not Agree, and you will be taken out of the site.

1.15. If you agree, click I Agree and you will go to the screen in Figure 6.
1.16. This screen says you have been sent an email.
1.17. If the email has not arrived yet, you can -

1.17.1. Call to arrange a live demo,
1.17.2. Look at the tutorials in the help section (top toolbar), or
1.17.3. Browse around HORIZON, clicking the Need Help? buttons when you need to.
1.17.4. Logout by clicking on Click here to logout at the top right corner of the screen.

1.19. You can click on the link in the email, which will take you to the HORIZON login screen. (Figure 8)

1.20. Enter the username and password you selected. These are included in the email.
1.21. When you login, you will be taken to the My Schedule screen, and you will have 3 credits available.
1.22. To buy credits later, just click on get more credits on the toolbar and follow the simple instructions.
1.23. You can go there now to see the pricing for credits.

1.24. Now you are ready to write reports, ideally as part of a demonstration process led by one of our consultants at 800-268-7070. Please call to arrange your demo.
1.25. If you are the type who likes to explore without any help, you are welcome to browse around and try to write a report. (We think it’s faster and more fun in the long run to look at the tutorials, but we know not everyone is built this way).
1.26. To try it on your own, click on book an inspection at the top of the screen to set up an inspection, or see the Booking Inspections tutorial for help with this process.
1.27. You can also look at the other tutorials starting with My Schedule to get the feel of HORIZON.
1.28. Click Help in the top tool bar to see the tutorials.
1.29. If you do get stuck, you can -
1.29.1. Click on the Need help? button at the bottom of many of the screens for the specific tutorial on that topic.
1.29.2. Click on Help in the top tool bar.
1.29.3. Call us at 800-268-7070 to set up a demo.

2. Logging out
2.1. You can logout by clicking Click here to logout at the top right corner of your screen.
2.1.1. Note: You should always logout when you are done, rather than just closing your browser, for security reasons.
2.2. After you log out, the next time you come to www.discoverhorizon.com, click on login at the top right corner of the screen, and enter your username and password.
2.3. Tip: Set your browser to auto-complete your email address so you don’t have to type in your whole address each time.
